Gardener (Stratford Children and Family Centre)

Barnardo’s is committed to providing ‘Better Outcomes for More Children’. Our children’s services volunteers help the charity to deliver essential services in local communities, providing support to over 300,000 children, young people and their families. This role provides a great opportunity to join our fantastic children’s services and help make a real difference.

Our Barnardo’s Gardeners support us to carry out general gardening duties and tidying of outdoor areas in our regulated settings, such as Children’s Centres and Nurseries. There may also be the opportunity to support in the delivery of outdoor learning activities with children and their parents/carers, such as Forest School and Worms and Wellies.

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic person to help maintain and improve our children's outdoor play area. Jobs include general sweeping and tidying of the yard, improving the raised beds to make them welcoming to children, general pruning on the walkway. Timings will be weekdays,dependent on groups running in the centre. Please apply to join our friendly team!
