Trainer (Supporting with the delivery of our parenting programme, Edgbaston, Birmingham)
Barnardo’s is committed to providing ‘Better Outcomes for More Children’. Our children’s services volunteers help the charity to deliver essential services in local communities, providing support to over 300,000 children, young people and their families. This role provides a great opportunity to join our fantastic children’s services and help make a real difference.
Our Barnardo’s Trainers support young people in settings such as Children’s Centres, After School Clubs and School Setting to complete educational activities. Activities could include, homework clubs and English and Maths support.
We are looking for volunteers to support with the facilitation of 'Empowering Parents, Empowering Communities' training. EPEC sessions are highly interactive, involving an engaging and creative blend of small and large group discussion, information sharing and reflection. Parents & carers practice and use new skills in everyday life to achieve specific goals.
We are looking for people with a good level of English and Maths, as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to break down complex subjects into understandable and easy to access educationally focused activities.
