Children's Activity Support - Prison Visitor Centre (HMP Edinburgh)

Barnardo’s is committed to providing ‘Better Outcomes for More Children’. Our children’s services volunteers help the charity to deliver essential services in local communities, providing support to over 300,000 children, young people and their families. This role provides a great opportunity to join our fantastic children’s services and help make a real difference.

160,000 children each year have a parent in prison. Our Prison Visitor Centre Volunteers support children and their families to visit their family members in a friendly environment, providing support through the visit system, engaging children in fun play activities and supporting families who are new to visiting the prison.

We are looking for volunteers, with a passion for making a difference in young people’s lives, a fun and approachable attitude and an ability to engage young people in enjoyable activities.
