Children's Activity Support - Prison Visitor Centre (Tea Bar Assistant, HMP Stafford)

Our children’s services volunteers help the charity to deliver essential services in local communities, providing support to over 300,000 children, young people and their families. This role provides a great opportunity to join our fantastic children’s services and help make a real difference.

160,000 children each year have a parent in prison. Our Prison Visitor Centre Volunteers support children and their families to visit their family members in a welcoming and friendly environment.

We are specifically looking for volunteers to operate a tea bar within the prison visitor’s centre at HMP Stafford. The role involves: offering hot drinks and basic snacks for families of prisoners prior to visits; handling payments for items purchased at the tea bar; ensuring all basic hygiene practices are maintained in the preparation of snacks and, carrying out cleaning schedules to maintain a clean and safe environment for families.
