Parent Champion (Clothes Bank, North Warwickshire Children & Family Centres)
Barnardo’s is committed to providing ‘Better Outcomes for More Children’. Our children’s services volunteers help the charity to deliver essential services in local communities, providing support to over 300,000 children, young people and their families. This role provides a great opportunity to join our fantastic children’s services and help make a real difference.
Parent Champions will champion our services to parents/carers and the local community, on behalf of Barnardo’s. This role will specifically oversee our Clothes Bank initiative.
The Clothes Bank is a new initiative for North Warwickshire Children & Family Centres and volunteers would be able to help with setting up the project. The role involves some administrative tasks, recording donations/collections and monitoring of stock available. Volunteers will be involved in keeping clothes tidy and organised to ensure team members can easily locate appropriate aged clothes for individual families.
Volunteers will be involved in meeting and greeting families accessing the Clothes Bank, introducing them to the Children and Family Centre service and helping parents to identify appropriate items.
