Barnardo’s is committed to providing ‘Better Outcomes for More Children’. Our children’s services volunteers help the charity to deliver essential services in local communities, providing support to over 300,000 children, young people and their families. This role provides a great opportunity to join our fantastic children’s services and help make a real difference.

Rugby Borough Children & Family Centres provide activities for under 5's and support for families from pre-birth or with children or young people aged 0-19 (or 25 for young people with additional needs). Our vision is that every family is supported to achieve their aspirations for themselves, their children and the wider community.

Children’s Activity Support volunteers work alongside the Early Years Team across a range of groups, within the Children’s & Family Centres and a variety of Outreach locations. In this role you would be part of a team running Stay and Plays for a range of ages and abilities. You may also be supporting groups provided by our partner agencies such as Health Visitors, Speech & Language Therapists or Adult Community Learning.

The Rugby Borough Children & Family Centres run a variety of sessions throughout the week where children and their parents/carers can come and enjoy playing and learning in a safe environment. Sessions are held at Boughton Leigh Children & Family Centre, Claremont Children & Family Centre, and Long Lawford Children & Family Centre.

We are looking for volunteers, with a passion for making a difference in children’s lives, a fun and approachable attitude and an ability to engage young people in worthwhile and enjoyable activities.
